 Lagos, Nigeria, and Accra, Ghana, have been recognized among the world's top cities for nightlife in 2024 by *Time Out*, a global magazine. Lagos was ranked 6th, while Accra secured the 10th spot, positioning them as premier nightlife destinations worldwide. Lagos, often seen as the heartbeat of Africa's vibrant Afrobeats music scene, earned an impressive 80% score for its nightlife. Popular spots like Freedom Park and venues in Victoria Island have become iconic for a wide range of events, from salsa to Afro-house club nights. Affordability also played a role, with Lagos scoring 48% in that category.


Accra, meanwhile, continues to grow as a nightlife hub, gaining recognition for its energetic atmosphere, diverse music, and entertainment options, further solidifying its status as a cultural hotspot in West Africa.


These rankings not only reflect the growing influence of West African cities on the global entertainment scene but also highlight the unique blend of culture, music, and affordable nightlife these cities offer.
